Rep. Joel Kleefisch of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin has introduced a bill in the Wisconsin Assembly that eliminates a minimum hunting age. Kleefisch, who is married to Rebecca Kleefisch, Lieutenant Governor under Scott Walker, has several Republican legislators as co-sponsors to his outrageous bill. Let’s see in Wisconsin you have to be 16 to drive, 18 to vote, 18 to smoke and 21 to drink. But Kleefisch thinks our age of 10 is not young enough for a kid to be packing. And to go one step further Kleefisch think’s it’s a great idea for the adult mentor along with the child to also be carrying a weapon. Right now if a child is carrying a weapon the adult cannot so he can concentrate on the actions of the minor.
We might as well have two people armed in a dangerous situation. Kleefisch believes it’s okay to inconvenience voters with Voter ID laws and we should end fetal research but thinks it’s a great idea to let toddlers and eight year olds to handle weaponry by themselves. In the meantime jobs don’t seem to be a priority for our state GOP-controlled legislature.
