Donald J. Trump must be denied the office of President of the United States, due to his manifest unfitness for service to the People of the United States.
Witness the examples which include:
- His presumptive election has already incited terror in Americans. This is due in large part to the history of his treatment of Americans in his business and in his personal surrounds, and his incitement of followers to distrust, hatred and violence toward their fellow Americans.
- He has engaged in intimidation of the press and other outlets of free speech and free assembly. This has been compounded by deliberate fictions in the discourse, and further compounded by his deliberate inconsistency and de facto incoherence in statements of policy and intent.
- His foreign entanglements, and his unwillingness to divorce himself from them, using the civic office for personal and familial financial enrichment, are in defiance of Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution of the United States, to which the office of President is bound by Oath or Affirmation.
Rather than allow his list of inadequacies and disqualifications to complete itself over the fullness of time, it is the duty of the Electors to halt the progress of Donald J. Trump to the office of President by voting for another candidate who is genuinely fit for the office, and either command a majority of Electoral Votes for that candidate, or withhold a majority from all candidates, by choosing a third candidate to be one of three to be considered by the House of Representatives under the Twelfth Amendment.
Committed as a citizen's duty to petition the Electors for the sapient exercise of their duty, this 29th Day of November, Two-Thousand and Sixteen,
John Adams
