I’m sure others are fine with this. I’m not. Taking a swipe at the party’s nominee—who had been your rival in 08 and then your Secretary of State and then the first woman nominee of any major party, your party—is...fucked up. It’s disrespectful. It merely serves to rub Hillary’s nose in her loss and toot your own manly horn. He has a point, yes, but it’s utterly secondary to his framing it in such a self-aggrandizing way.
What a disappointment—one on top of the devastation of the election.
I hope he backpedals and refocuses his critique so that he is not its central, heroic figure. This is almost as tacky as something Trump would do. Obama is better than this.
