As a black woman, I continue to find the discussion on why blacks support HRC to be deeply concerning at best and blatantly racist at worst. No Clinton supporter has demanded that white kids explain their support for Sanders nor has anyone demanded Southern Whites explain why they support Donald Trump.
The fact that this story shot-up the rec list is even more troubling because it represents a political “stop-n-frisk” of just the black voters.
Even on this so-called progressive Kos site, we blacks are being held to a different standard by being pulled-over, held at gun-point and asked for our ID’s.
The progressive cops have searched our trunks and are threatening to jail us if we can’t answer “their” questions to “their” liking.
Well, I expressed my displeasure about being stopped and frisked on yesterday and the white cops played the race card by saying it was the black cop who stopped me -— so that makes it okay.
Historically, they have always feel better about themselves when a black person says what’s in their heart; you know, feels less racist that way.
I’ve always struggled with uppityness, sorry.
I don’t see the progressive cops stopping white kids on campuses who are looking for drugs. I see no litmus test on white professors — you know, to explain how they could possibly support Sanders over Clinton.
It’s always the black man who has to run the extra mile or jump through the extra hoops and white progressives are just as guilty as everyone else.
They don’t think we noticed that Bernie’s college for all has a second-class program for HBCUs? You see, he wants to give the families who attend state universities free tuition but has set aside the HBCU money to go directly to the Institution.
Bernie Sanders is getting slammed for leaving students at historically black colleges and universities “out in the cold” as he prepares to visit Morehouse College, the alma mater of African-American leaders including the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., says in a statement issued by Hillary Clinton’s campaign that Sanders’ plan for free tuition at public colleges and universities doesn’t mention HBCUs and doesn’t invest in private colleges, including Atlanta’s Morehouse. That’s unlike Clinton’s plan, he says, which calls for greater funding for states that support HBCUs.
“By focusing exclusively on making public college free, Sanders’ plan wouldn’t spend a dime on private HBCUs and threatens roughly 50 percent of HBCUs that are not public,” stated Richmond, a Morehouse alumnus who has endorsed Clinton. ..."Bernie understands that too many HBCU's have struggled financially in recent years from a lack of federal resources," Gunnels wrote. "That’s why he supports a dedicated $30 billion fund to support private non-profit HBCU's and other minority serving institutions to keep their costs down. Unlike Secretary Clinton, Bernie does not believe that we should unfairly punish HBCUs by fining them for their non-performing student loans."
Hmmm, looks like libraries, parking lots and computer labs to me. This little issue could have been resolved like this: “Free tuition for all students who’s families earn less than $150K per year...public or private.” Or, “free tuition to all students who attend public colleges and HBCU’s.” Since neither of them will pass anyway, why not just throw us a bone?
This morning, I thought it in order to “stop and frisk” the 83% of white voters in Mass. I mean, they are Bernie’s neighbors...many are in the “Ivy Belt” you know, all educated and all. How could Hillary possibly be leading 50/42 in this most recent poll?
Hey, you there...pull over!! Get outcha car!! Why are you in this neighborhood??? What’s your address?? Why are you supporting HRC? Don’t you know BS is better for your family!! Don’t you know he will raise your minimum wage??? But sir, I’m not on minimum wage!!
Shut-up!!
Vote like I tell you or I will shut you down because I am the progressive police!!!
