Guys, I’m getting kind of sick of all the presidential primary back and forth. I hate arguing with other Democrats who I respect and agree with. So I want to take a little break and start focusing downballot on state governments.
Us Democrats have done a pretty bad job of keeping state governments blue. Some of that is because of geography, some of that is because of the 2010 Republican redistricting, some of that is because we haven’t run the right candidates or campaigned hard enough or put up enough money. I really want to help change that, but I currently live in a very blue district in New York and am represented by liberal incumbents.
So I want to hear other kossacks tell me about the politicians campaigning in open or Republican incumbent districts where we might be able to tip state governments a little more in the right (or shall we say left) direction this cycle. I would love to throw in a few small donations if it would help. And heck, let me know if there are any groups on dailykos dedicated to this project so I can join!
