I recently sent this thank-you note to Governor McCrory, thanking him for his new bathroom protection bill. I have posted it here, since I received no response from his office because……..nature abhors a vacuum.
And, once again, thank you Gov. McCrory! You have made my life so. Much. Easier.
Without further comment:
Dear Governor McCrory;
I just wanted to thank you. I was born in NC more than 50 years ago, at Fort Bragg. I have called Raleigh my home, as have my parents, children and grandchildren, for the last 25 years. I recently was transferred to WA, and fully intended to return to NC to retire. I just want to thank you for reminding me why that is no longer possible.
Unfortunately, for an administration that was ushered in on promises of "lower taxes" and "local control" you have provided neither. HB2 is just the latest example of this. If a resident of NC can no longer count on its state government to "stay out of it" or to not preference its "friends" at the expense of its citizens, it is no longer a place that I am interested in living.
Job well done.
Sincerely,
Kredacted
