As noted in the comments, as of this morning I thought Barney was a lobbyist for the bank. I was wrong. I repeat. I was wrong. Barney is on the Board of Directors. Barney is on the Rules committee and not the platform committee.
Regardless of either of these points, my diary stands. Barney has no business in any official capacity at the Convention or in the Democratic Party. Perception is reality all to often in politics and there is no need to risk the perception of condoning the “revolving door”.
Why is it so important that Barney be on the rules committee? Why him? We have plenty of other progressive champions that we could tap no?
