The VP rankings begin because there is definitely an inner circle top 2 or 3.
When I look at Massachusetts state Law for Senate appointments is done through immediate special election within 160 days. As a side note, the 160 days rule can be circumvented if Warren was to resign from her seat early for an election the day after the swearing in session.
The state of Virginia appoints replacements until the next election cycle. For Tim Kaine his next election cycle is 2018. In my opinion, the Clinton’s top choice for VP is Warren, or Kaine.
As a former resident, of both states that lives in CT (Warren is the current frontrunner). She’s the most educated & articulate individual in the entire country on banking regulations. If she’s not the VP it will be Tim Kaine because he locks up Northern, Virginia. Trump’s path to win the WH is much narrower than Hillary’s.
What’s more likely Massachusetts Democrats successfully replace Warren with a Democrat in deep holy blue Massachusetts, or Republicans steal a seat replacing Kaine in 2018? Mark Warner barely won his re-election in Virginia when he won by 30 plus points in past elections. And who would Charlie Baker appoint to the Senate in Mass?
