I published a diary to promote a discussion about how the Democrats should be specific and responsive to the fears and thirsts of the electorate. see, www.dailykos.com/…
The people who commented were obviously so defensive of any kind of discussion that put on the table that Muslims are feared by Americans, and that the fear is not alleviated by bromides and general statements that not all Muslims are terrorists, or by changing the subject to gun control.
What I also said is that there is an urgency for Democrats to address the particular fears and offer some specific remedy because Trump is planning a speech on that very topic in New Hampshire.
I have been a visitor on DK from its first day, and my first blog was 9 yeas ago. Frankly, I am astounded at how easy the Mullahs on Daily Kos can censor a long-time blogger, especially when, in my view they are too silly to even understand the problem. Is the new rule to shut up anyone who does not speak in the jargon of group-think? It is one thing to disagree and by disagreement learn if there is a misunderstanding, but once censorship is invoked, the thought process ends, as does the discussion.
Frankly, some of my posts are designed to get a message quickly to the Clinton campaign. In 2008, one of my daughters was employed by HRC’s campaign to monitor web sites and to report strategies, concepts and ideas that professionals in the campaign’s sycophantic bubble might miss. Daily Kos was one of the web sites that my daughter covered, and if i had an idea for the campaign I had a better chance having my diary reported than sending an email. I was told that this year, there are people doing the same job as my daughter had in 2008 when my law firm became a bundler for the HRC campaign, and hosted an event in Pennsylvania before our primary. During my discussions with the campaign, I mentioned my daughter’s job in 2008, and it was confirmed that staffers are still doing that kind of work.
So, while until today I sometimes had a dual purpose in posting a diary, provoking a discussion and sending a strategic message to the HRC campaign, from now on, I will harbor no illusion that I can expect a thoughtful exchange of, or discussion about different, or even radical ideas. I have no interest in dealing with the closed-minded, power-corrupted administrators and their cat’s-paws. If you see my diary in the future, do yourself a favor an ignore it; the message is not intended for you.
