From the Facebook post:
“Five Baptist ministers and a Muslim community leader walk into a gay bar. No, that's not the beginning of a joke, that's what took place tonight in Louisville, Ky. I was blessed to witness and join Joseph Phelps, Muhammad Babar Cheema, Jason Crosby, Kevin Cosby, and Chris Caldwell as we delivered flowers to four gay bars here in Louisville as condolences and symbols of solidarity with the LGBT community following the Orlando massacre.
It was a series of “burning bush” moments, like my father used to say. In other words it was so powerful that you felt you needed to remove your sandals because you were in the very presence of God. I saw both the people we encountered and fellow ministers weep, embrace, and express mutual respect and love for each other. I so strongly felt the presence of God that it is hard for me to explain in words. Tonight I witnessed something truly sacred. Thanks be to God for reminding me that love always wins.”
