t's that time again..... Next week is my seventh annual meet-up by the lake ;-)
The details: A meet-up at The Point (my family's summer cottage in the western hills of Maine), this time on Saturday, June 25, noon to 6:00 p.m. (approximately......very approximately) in western Maine (about a scenic hour-long drive northwest from Portland, and maybe three hours from the Boston metro area, depending where you start out and how bad traffic is).
Same deal as other years: I’ll gladly cook and have beer and assorted non-alcoholic beverages. If people want to bring a dish to share, that's fine. {One request: no pork or shellfish, please!}
Lake should be warm enough for fun if anyone wants. We have a canoe, a kayak, and plenty of rocks to swim to (and to scrape knees on....). Dogs (well-behaved....) more than welcome, but Hobbs, Penn, and the adorable little foster kittens prefer to be the only felines ;-)
Pictures to entice anyone debating joining us are here.
If anyone wants to spend Friday and/or Saturday night (for fun, or because it's a long drive.....), I've got room for several, plus some tenting space. For more information/exact directions or to RSVP, email me at books.cats.knitting.genealogy at gmail.com or send a Kosmail. {If you have already sent an RSVP to NHox42, no need to send another.}
Please ~ do me a favor and RSVP ;-) There's a fair bit of space for people but the largest number of cars I've managed at one time is 10 (9 plus mine), so if we are getting close to that, I need to make arrangements with the neighbors to park a few cars elsewhere.
