Look folks, it’s pretty much done. There is a 99.99% change that Hillary Clinton will win the pledged delegates and popular vote by a healthy margin. There is probably a 90% chance that once that happens, and we’ll know by Wednesday morning, that Bernie will concede, congratulate Clinton and determine what he needs/wants to do to continue cultivating his [extremely impressive] movement. (I’m hoping this happens—because I’ve always liked/respected Bernie and his message and really hope that he retains his integrity as the primary season ends)
If that does happen, the party can get together behind the nominee, and this includes both Hillary and Bernie supporters, and we can basically just ignore the self-proclaimed “Bernie or Busters” just like we eventually ignored the PUMAs last time around. Both of these groups were (and I think will continue to be) utterly inconsequential. Ignore them.
NOW, after Wednesday, if Bernie does NOT decide to make this smooth (post CA), and he chooses to wreak some havoc at the convention, and opts to cultivate and empower the Bernie or Bust segment, then feel free to go back to railing. Because while it’s still (technically) a contest now, then it would no longer be, and the only case to be made is that the will of the voters — both popular and pledged delegates — does not count. If THAT’S the case, feel free to raise hell.
But everyone (including front-pagers and site-owners) should be able to wait 5 days, right?
