While other Americans proudly served their country when called to do so, even under the cloud of the Vietnam War, Muhammad Ali was a giant coward. Many in the military community do not see him as being great, just because he could punch other men really hard. His accomplishments pale in comparison to valor of men who served. Look to Rocky Bleier if you want to see a great man who did great things before and after the war. It’s just wrong to see Cassius Clay exonerated for his behavior. The 58,000 Americans who died in Vietnam should be remembered as heroes, not this pompous, bragging wussy.
