Last March, Indiana Governor and VP-nominee Mike Pence, whose hatred of women's rights is only exceeded by his hatred of LGBT rights, signed into law a bill requiring a funeral or cremation of aborted and miscarried fetuses to ensure that remains are disposed of "in a dignified matter."
It outright barred abortions in cases where a diagnosis of a fetal disability had been made and it also forced women who sought an abortion because of "lethal fetal abnormalities" to undergo counseling that encouraged them to carry the doomed and potentially dangerous pregnancy to term. Just in case these women were unsure.
The law was ultimately enjoined by a federal judge.
Another effect of Pence's bigotry is his non-stop war against Planned Parenthood. He led the Congress to the brink of shutdown in 2011 in a failed attempt to defund the organization and prides himself in being a hater long before the yahoos-come-lately. But his assault has also resulted in the shuttering of many Planned Parenthood offices dedicated solely to medical testing, especially in rural areas. This "victory" for his born-again self has resulted in an epidemic outbreak of HIV infection in southeastern Indiana.
And they all think this adds to Trump’s electability.
