I recently helped a friend move from WA to NY. I stopped to see a few sights along the way. I also went on a couple other excursions before and after that trip.
I hope You like this photographic tour.
I traveled to Potholes State Park in WA a week before I left. It is between Moses Lake and Othello WA. I especially loved the antics of a pair of Killdeers who were trying their best to lure me away from their nest.
My pug Muse was unsure on what to make of the display.
Next up Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge south of Cheney WA
The Grand Tetons and Jackson WY.
Wildlife art Museum outdoor sculptures in Jackson WY were great to see. The inside of the museum has sculptures and paintings from numerous artists. Here is just a sampling of a few of the outdoor statues.
Earthquake Lake and Southern Flint Creek Valley
At Yellowstone National Park, I spent an entire day there. I came in the West entrance at 4 AM and left out the NorthEast entrance at 8:30 that night. I made the mistake of taking Hwy 212 up to Billings MT and had to go over Bear Tooth Pass at night. I will never take a Budget rental truck up there again. It took me 3 hours to go 50 miles and I still didn’t make it all the way to Billings MT. I didn’t get photos of the pass because it was dark and there was 4 feet of snow on the roadsides and nowhere to pull over. At over 10,000 ft up, it was also starting to get ice on the roadway. Needless to say, I white knuckled it for awhile.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park
Niagra Falls
Too cloudy to see any rainbows.
Niagra recedes 3 to 6 ft up the river every year due to erosion. 175,000 gallons of water per second goes over the American falls alone.
I hope you enjoyed this photographic tour.
Thanks for looking.
