In 2011 Alabama passed very strict anti-immigration laws, and in 2012 Georgia did the same thing. Both of these laws had disastrous economic consequences for their respective farming economies because fearful undocumented workers did not show up to tend the fields or harvest crops.
School attendance by their children also dropped.
Apparently Republicans never thought through the effects of their bills which turned out to be massive failures. Here’s a link to the Alabama story:

I would guess that Drump’s hazy push to deport 11 million un-documented would have similar consequences. Rethugs are so deplorable.
