Where is our attack dog on Trump? I don’t see Kaine or anyone else really taking it to Trump the way that will resonate with the type of voter who might be dissuaded to vote for him.
Sure, Kaine, Biden, Obama, Bill Clinton all are decrying Trump as rude and “dangerous” but I think you need to get some more direct specific attacks going. The leech argument for going after every possible way to bilk to government out of tax breaks is a good avenue of attack. Going after him for his uncomfortable ties to Putin and Russia and the idea that Russia may be directly interfering in our election would be good. Going after his outright lies are good. I was impressed by the latest commercial from Clinton that featured Trump trashing POW’s (specifically McCain) for getting captured. Here — see for yourself if you haven’t yet:
Where is this airing? Is it on TV in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania? Can we get some added footage of McCain trashing Trump?

The basket of deplorables comment was good. It’s being fought back against so hard because it was effective. DON’T overexplain it. DON’T apologize for it. Point to the deplorables like the white supremacists and neo-nazis and challenge Trump’s supporters to express their desire to stand shoulder to shoulder with those disgusting pinheads.
We need to fight, not dirty, but forcefully. I’m concerned we’re taking this threat too lightly and engaging on a Beltway cocktail party gossip level. Screw that. Destroy this demagogue. Defeat this Fascist (and yes, he is an actual honest-to-god fascist). Let’s roll up the sleeves and get serious about this election.
