Received this e-mail today from Governor Tom Wolf’s (D. PA) re-election campaign:
President Donald Trump is making a final push to secure votes in the House to repeal the Affordable Care Act and enact a disastrous law that would harm working families and seniors.
I've shared my concerns with our congressional delegation, along with Speaker Paul Ryan in letters to their offices. I've held the hands of parents, who worry about whether or not they will be able to afford substance abuse treatment for their son or daughter. I've stood with seniors who are furious at the thought of Trump's "age tax" and working families who risk losing coverage across our commonwealth.
No matter what happens, I'll keep fighting alongside you to make sure you have a voice and to make high-quality healthcare more accessible and more affordable.
We know the stakes, we know the progress we've made under the Affordable Care Act, and with a vote in the House of Representatives likely to be just hours away, we need to act now.
Please take a moment to call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 or you can look up your representative online here, and urge your friends to do the same -- especially those in Republican districts.
Share why you support the Affordable Care Act. Thank those who oppose Trumpcare and remind them to keep fighting for working families and seniors. To those who support the bill, make it clear we won't forget their vote.
President Trump may have the power of the bully pulpit, but that's no match for the power of the people united together.
Thank you,
Tom Wolf
