On the very same day that millions were marching around the country for science three candidates for the school board of Plano (Texas) ISD were standing up for teaching our kids creationism.
At School Board Forum at the East Plano Islamic Center, only Sreedhar Yedavalli stood up for science in PISD Place 2.
Up first, Nathan Rylander, candidate Place 3: “I am a creationist.”
Amanda Jackson, candidate Place 2 “Teach multiple theories to increase critical thinking, and one those theories is creationism.”
Angela Powell, candidate Place 2: “All theories should be introduced in schools, so when you have multiple theories you should be teaching them.”
Sreedhar Yedavalli, candidate Place 2: “I have a position that really comes from my understanding of the sciences, and as to the biological sciences, evolution is the central tenet of everything the biological sciences are based on. Let's be clear about that.”
If you can give $3 to help elect a man of science to the Plano ISD school board.
