Rep. John Lewis survived being savagely beaten on Bloody Sunday during the Selma March for voting rights in 1965. He was arrested, humiliated, and received death threats numerous times.
He can certainly take a Twitter tirade from you.
The sad thing is that more than 50 years after the Selma March poverty and lack of access to voting still impact many African Americans throughout the Deep South — and many millions of others of all races; women, men, and children; trans, gay, or strait.
And you don’t seem to understand that. No. You understand it — you just don’t care.
Well — — we do. And so does John Lewis.
