If I heard correctly, on NPR this evening there was a report that Donald Trump had said he was impatient for Robert Mueller’s probe to finish, claimed it wasn’t going to find anything, said the country was “sick and tired” of it, and threatened to fire Mr. Mueller. I don’t see that in any “print” (internet) media yet. Did anyone else hear it? Can anyone point to a link of a text news story?
I sent both my senators and my congresscritter an email with the first sentence above and the paragraph below. (I should have edited out the word “move”).
If Mr. Trump fires or attempts to impede Mr. Mueller’s investigation, he should be removed from office, using the 25th amendment process and impeachment, and Mr. Mueller should be reinstated in his role by an act of Congress. By all reports, the probe is moving rapidly, and I interpret Mr. Trump’s move statement as a sign of desperation. Mr. Trump may be sick and tired of looking over his shoulder, but I eagerly await the results of Mr. Mueller’s investigation.
