FOLLOW THE MONEY (and the bills).
1. Steele dossier: www.businessinsider.com/…
“Igor Sechin, the CEO of Russia's state oil company, offered former Trump ally Carter Page and his associates the brokerage of a 19% stake in [Rosneft] in exchange for the lifting of US sanctions on Russia.
The dossier says the offer was made in July”
2. Rosneft is sold. 19.5%. What a coinkidink. www.reuters.com/… Also amazing—buyer is kept completely private.
Also of interest:
“There is no evidence that Carter played any role in the Rosneft deal. But he was back in Moscow on December 8 — one day after the deal was signed — to "meet with some of the top managers" of Rosneft."
3. Tillerson is named Secretary of State
4. Republicans immediately (and I do mean IMMEDIATELY) move to suppress rules requiring "oil, gas and mining companies to annually disclose the payments they make to FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS for things such as licenses and permits." blogs.wsj.com/…
How convenient that the new owner of Rosneft, if he just happens to be in the USA, no longer needs to disclose any information!!!!
Are ALL the Republicans in on this? Are they all complicit in a Russian takeover of our country? I figured it had to be restricted to just Trump's inner circle, but after this latest move, all I can say is WTF??????????
(Note: Edited to clarify that the company being talked about in the Steele dossier is Rosneft)

U.S. eases sanctions on Russian intelligence agency (FSB aka the former KGB aka the people our agencies determined influenced our election)
www.reuters.com/…
The Treasury Department said in a statement it would allow U.S. companies to make limited transactions with the intelligence service that are needed to gain approval to import information technology products into Russia.
The broader significance of the sanctions exemptions were not immediately clear.
