False claims of voter fraud will be used by this administration to deny the vote to valid voters. To staunch this plot evidence must be demanded by those in the states responsible for elections. I just wrote the following letter to the Secretary of State of my state basically asking Trump to prove his claims of voter fraud. Others may want to encourage those in charge of elections in their own states to do the same.
Dear Secretary,
President Trump claims that there was widespread voter fraud in the November 2016 national election. Voter fraud is a serious crime, but so is suppression of the vote. Our state should be given evidence of voter fraud if it is real and should investigate any specific claimed cases. You, as director of elections in this state should sue for this information if necessary.
If the facts regarding claimed voter fraud are not verified then there is a real danger that empty claims will be used by the Trump administration to suppress the valid vote, a serious and more likely crime.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
