It’s wonderful. Makes me happy.

Some transcripts of the comments during the town hall. Nothing you haven’t heard before, but it’s great to see people holding Tom Cotton’s feet to the fire.
“My parents were highly qualified they were legitimate they were competent, they were law-abiding. I would expect no less of those qualities from the commander in chief. Presidents in the past have shared with us their tax returns. Remember those qualities... show this man’s tax returns!”
After backtalk from Cotton, the commenter said “Our former president showed his birth certificate.” And now a chant of TAX RETURNS TAX RETURNS TAX RETURNS....
“I’ve never voted for you... you said that you wanted to claw back some of the power from the presidency. That’s the first time I’ve seen something in print from you that I agreed with. But so far you’ve been a rubber stamp. I don’t think 60% of Arkansas will vote for you in the next election.”
“When exactly are you going to claw back from Trump? When is the rubber stamp going to stop? When are you going to earn my vote?”
“Hello, I’m Diane Benton from Little Rock Arkansas. my question is you and your fellow Republicans are concerned about... Islamic terrorism. We have 30,000 people a year killed due to gun violence. Two questions: when are you and your colleagues going to do something about sensible background checks and gun laws, and why in the hell did you guys vote to let the mentally adjudicated people bypass background checks. Why do you want guns in the hands of the adjudicated mentally ill? No civilian needs a 30 round magazine, nobody needs an high powered assault rifle except the police and the military. We’ve had more people killed in this country due to gun violence than in this country than ever by terrorism. EVER. We’re the only nation in this entire world that this is a problem. Because of our gun laws.”
“95.2% of your votes are directly aligned with the Republican agenda. From your record you seem more interested in building your brand with Mitch McDonnell and the Republican elites than with representing the interests of Arkansans. When you continue to ignore us as constituents, why would we possibly pay you any attention when this six year temp job is over?”
From Toby (almost 8) “Donald Trump thinks the wall is more important than PBS and stuff. Donald Trump makes Mexicans not important to people in Arkansas who likes Mexicans, like me, my grandma, and other people. He’s taking away the parks and PBS kids just to make a wall.”
