Spring goes by so fast it’s hard to keep up. Most of the tulips are done, but the daffodils started early and just keep coming. I like the specialty daffs, and the minis. I didn’t get a photo of a mini for this morning’s offering but I’ll try to get one later today.
Anemones are a newer bulb for me. There’s the smaller, Greek Windflower anemones and then the larger coronaria. I’ve got both, and they’re blooming at the same time. Some things are a little early, it seems.
I also have a bougainvillea in my sunroom that a friend begged me to adopt. It was not doing well at her house because she knew she did not have enough sun. I trimmed the hell out of it and now it’s really growing! I was standing outside the window last week, and noticed some brownish leaves. I thought, maybe it was getting sun scald. Nope! It’s blooming, this strange orange color. Oh well. Not what I would have chosen but maybe there’s a trick to getting those pretty pinks.
A short diary today, I’ve had some busy-ness lately. Mr. Light had a partial knee replacement Thursday so we’ve been trying to prepare for that. So I’ll leave you with an apple blossom sunset from the other night.
Happy gardening! I hope your weather is improving and your gardens are growing.
