Donald Trump is refusing to let go of his unsupported claim that former President Barack Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower, despite multiple intelligence agencies and congressional investigations finding absolutely no evidence to support his false claims.
Trump proceeded to revive his scurrilous claim about being surveilled by President Obama, once again with absolutely no evidence to back up his claims, during and interview with John Dickerson on CBS this morning.
When asked to defend the claim, he ended the interview and walked back to his desk dismissing John Dickerson with a hand gesture. Baby throws a tantrum.
Dickerson asked Trump if Obama had given him advice.
“He was very nice to me, but after that, we’ve had some difficulties. So it doesn’t matter. You know, words are less important to me than deeds, and you saw what happened with surveillance,” Trump said in response.
Dickerson pressed the president on whether he still stood by the wiretapping claim. Trump wouldn’t say, but claimed “our side has been proven very strongly.”
“You can figure that out yourself,” he said. “I don’t stand by anything. You can take it the way you want. I think our side has been proven very strongly, and everybody has been talking about it.”
Dickerson repeatedly asked Trump to elaborate, but to no avail.
“I just wanted to find out. You’re the president of the United States. You said he was sick and bad,” Dickerson said, referring to Trump’s tweets on his allegation against Obama. “I want to know your opinion.”
“I gave you my opinion,” Trump said.
JOHN DICKERSON: But I'm asking you. Because you don't want it to be--
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You don't--
JOHN DICKERSON: --fake news. I want to hear it from--
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You don't have to--
JOHN DICKERSON: --President Trump.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: --ask me. You don't have to ask me.
JOHN DICKERSON: Why not?
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Because I have my own opinions. You can have your own opinions.
JOHN DICKERSON: But I want to know your opinions. You're the president of the United States.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Okay, it's enough. Thank you. Thank you very much.
This is why people think he has a mental disorder. Trump continues to lie about things that are known to be untrue…. "everybody's talking about it" "believe me" “that I can tell you”...these are all his non reality based fall back lines.
Notwithstanding his tax release problems, Trump should be tested for mental disorders, in my opinion…..both need to be scrutinized extensively. A person with a mental illness should not be president of the United States.
