Though I think she’d of put it a little differently. It was probably eight years ago. I didn’t “know” her but that’s immaterial. I was looking at a comment from another Kossack who had only made like five comments in ten years, and one of his comments was to her GBCW diary. In her case she wasn’t saying goodby to DK but to the world, she’d just been diagnosed with incurable cancer. That was ten years ago, a couple years later all her comments ended.
Her handle was 4thepeople and the link takes you to her GBCW diary, which is very good. What I liked about her post was the gallows humor and a sense of putting a brave face on very bad news. Her family was trying to sell the farm she was living in, and she said she’d quite literally “bought the farm”. She had been suicidal and when the therapist expressed concern at her state after hearing the prognosis 4thepeople laughed calling her impending death a back up plan.
We will all die sometime, and facing up to a for sure expiration date is something a lot of people don’t take well. John McCain just got the same sort of news.
I value every life, and every life has worth. Even though it was probably eight years ago I’m sorry for 4people’s passing.
Did anyone know 4thepeople in meat space? Maybe they ought to put one of those tombstones for mojo. I figure if I notice, I should mention it, that’s why I wrote.
Wrote a nice diary about a catastrophe in Burma too.
