By two o'clock, the fascists had hitched a ride off the commons courtesy of Boston PD and the Riot squad was calling it a day. As one member of Veterans for Peace said “We won today. With no violence. Now it's time to party. "
But before the crowd either went home or went back into the Commons, at least one member of the resistance saw fit to smudge the area with Sage to purge it of the negative energy that some dipshits tried bringing to Boston.
By 3 o'clock folks were gathered in groups on the Commons with a rally over at Beacon Street gates, a drum circle down by the play ground and smaller groups goofing off, enjoying the shade and filming each other.
There were a few arrests and a few scrapes, but overall a peaceful day with a police dept that seemed to be active in trying to maintain a safety this afternoon and a crowd that, despite its numbers and it's emotions, helped keep the peace. That said, there is something breaking out in the far corner at 3:25.
