The Wisconsin Senate just passed a “Bailout without a Cause” to lure a company to it’s shores. Foxconn. Appropriate that they have “con” within their name.
As residents discover this governmental gift they can ask themselves, why Foxconn? Why not healthcare for all? Why not complimentary college for residents?
How about new stadiums for the Packers and Brewers? Consider what that money could do if it were used to widen the expressway that funnels Chicagoans to tear your state apart during their vacations
Sound federal policies and laws should prevent our states from drowning their residents in a never ending bidding war for a factory or headquarters building. Amazon.com is shopping a second headquarters and some state and/or city government is going to cough up everything including hairballs for shipping packing if Amazon so desires.
We race towards the bottom when we complete state vs state. Think how much cheese $512 each resident of Wisconsin could be enjoying?
