How to amplify your candidate's message during the last week before Early Voting:
1.Post their videos on your social media wall. (1) share (2) go to their website and share from there (3) google their name and share from there.
2. Post favorable articles about them. (Google and read article and share to FB and twitter.)
3. Post your status about why you support this candidate.
4. When you share on FB, also share into the Democratic/progressive groups you belong to. This will get it beyond your circle of friends.
5. Go through your address book and phone or send emails to people reminding them to vote and state why you support the candidate. You can attach one of their videos into the email by choosing the Embed Video icon or Photo/Video icon.
6. Make a poster and stand on a street corner. Don't laugh. People pay their own expenses to travel to battleground states to do that for Presidential candidates. Isn't this election JUST AS CRITICAL. If you are bashful, dare a friend to join you.
7. Hand out literature outside the distance marker at an early voting site.
8. Give away buttons at Walmart, Target or wherever you shop and use them as icebreakers to recommend the candidates.
9. Go through your address book and call friends offering them a ride to the polls or suggest having lunch or coffee after you go together to vote.
10. Don't be afraid to engage that obnoxious brother in law or neighbor across the fence mentioning FACTS not opinions about why we need this candidate in office.
11. Remember you are probably the only source for FACTS many people have.
12. If you have met the candidate in person or have known him or her, mention that when you approach people. When I tell people that I have known Lupe Valdez for nearly 20 years, they listen. I remember when Judge Sergio DeLeon told us about growing up in Arkansas and knowing the Clinton's ever since he was a little boy, that gave him street mojo with us. If you have been in Toastmasters or served on a committee with a candidate, mention that when you are telling folks why you trust this candidate.’
