From December 2016 to January 2017, U.S. personnel at the Cuban embassy complained of
hearing loss, vision problems and memory issues. Symptoms often followed unexplained sounds in diplomats’ homes that led investigators to suspect a futuristic sonic weapon. The U.S. has said 24 government workers were harmed. Canada has reported some of its diplomats were affected, too.
While the FBI investigation has ruled out sonic weapons, the symptoms reported are hard to explain and seem to have affected Canadian diplomats as well as U.S. diplomats.
Putin addressed the Federal Assembly in his State of the Nation address and stated that
"It is a well-known fact that unmanned weapon systems are designed and produced around the globe," Putin stated. "I can say that Russia has designed unmanned submersible vehicles capable of operating at extreme depths."
Along with the news that Russia is restarting some of the weapons research from the Cold War era, we’ve seen Russian ships in American waters, the most recent being 100 miles southeast of North Carolina in January 2017. It’s 977 miles from that point to the Gulf of Mexico, just north of the Cuban embassy. Russia claims the drone has a range of 6,200 miles.
I really hate to go all conspiracy theory on this, but it seems a little… odd.
