This morning I read this terrific post of gun violence Story of a Gun by Molly Osberg. The post was on Jezebel. jezebel.com/… Jezebel is usually I site I go to for snark and fun, not serious reporting. Ms. Osberg does investigative reporting across Gizmodo platforms. The essay talks about a specific gun bought by a 19 year old in an affluent community who uses it to murder a former girlfriend and two of her friends at a party. Her parents are bringing suit against his parents, noting the young man shouldn’t have had a firearm if he was that unstable. But it also explores how guns are purchased in the USA and the companies that make and market them. Very well written and information I was not familiar with about the big business of firearms. I recommend it for all interested in this critical topic.
