Dear Mitch, Last week Trump reported DOJ will fight in Court to end ACA with no replacement vote til 2020. You (Mitch) are up for re-election. If you & Trump let DOJ end ACA over 20 Million American families (240,000 Kentucky families) immediately lose health insurance with no replacement.
Yesterday Bill Barr admitted that under his watch, the DOJ will not enforce the law, ACA, enacted by Congress (as is his job) but instead will fight against Congress in Court.
I’ve known you for over 30 years Mitch and I know your pattern of deceit. I know you are behind the DOJ fighting to end the ACA. And I know you well enough to know your pattern is to hide behind the DOJ so that you can gaslight Kentucky voters with deceit and say “Hey, the DOJ did that, not me. But vote for me & I’ll get you ‘a’ healthcare plan.’
Your pattern of deceit does not fool those of us who know you. We know what you really mean when you say “we’re not going to repeal ACA.” You really mean, you’ll convince the DOJ to fight to end ACA so as to give the ‘appearance’ that your hands & the hands of Congressional GOP who are up for re-election appear clean of it.
Let me be clear Mitch McConnell, if you and Donald Trump let the DOJ tend the ACA you will lose re-election and I will see to it you do.
My female friends and I will knock on every door in every county in Kentucky over and over and over again until election day. We will explain to every Kentucky voter that Mitch McConnell is getting rid of ACA through the DOJ because Mitch McConnell cannot stand the fact that Kentucky families benefit from:
- ACA's protection on pre-exising condition coverage whereby Kentuckians with pre-existing conditions are not discriminated against based on their medical history so are not charged more for health insurance coverage than a healthy person with the same health insurance plan;
- ACA’s protection for Kentucky children to get preventative coverage including: newborn care, vaccines, annual well-visits, depression screening;
- ACA's protection for Kentucky children who stay on parent's health insurance until age 26,
- ACA's protection for women's health coverage for preventive care for women, evidence-based preventive services at no cost including: annual mammograms, well-women visits, contraception, services for pregnant women, and breastfeeding support.
- ACA's protection for women's health insurance cost to be the same as a man's cost in the same plan,
- ACA's protection of medicaid expansion that does help lower healthcare costs for Kentuckians and has allowed poor Kentucky families to have health insurance coverage.
We will underscore that your (Mitch McConnell's) health insurance plan is: “Emergency Room Only Care.”
We will tell Kentucky voters the truth - that Mitch McConnell’s idea of protecting Kentuckians with “pre-existing conditions” is: Let health insurance companies charge higher rates with fewer health care benefits to Kentuckians who are ill and who have pre-existing conditions.
My friends and I plan to start knocking on doors in Eastern Kentucky, Appalachia Region, which one of the most impoverished counties in Kentucky and where there is a shortage of: Emergency rooms, hospitals, medical clinics, and doctors.
When we are finished covering every county in the state, we will start all over again so that by the time election day 2020 comes, every Kentucky voter will know that Mitch McConnell ended the ACA through the DOJ without even bothering to have a compatible/comparable replacement healthcare coverage.
We’ve known you for over 30 years Mitch and we know your pattern of deceit.
We know you do you are behind the DOJ ending the ACA. But you want to hide behind the DOJ so that you can lie to Kentucky voters and say “Hey, the DOJ did that, not me. But vote for me & I’ll get you ‘a’ healthcare plan.’
Not this time Mitch. We will not let you hide behind the DOJ.
My promise is this: if you (Mitch) and Trump let the DOJ end the ACA you will not get re-elected, and I will see to it.
**Note to any Kentuckians on DailyKos. Please write Mitch a similar letter and let him know we will stop him and his pattern of deceit.
