I looked for this diary before posting. I thought surely someone else would have put this up before me. Joe Biden is disqualified, for me, from ever holding the presidency. He is the author or co-sponsor or every major crime bill for the last 35 years. He is responsible, in whole or in part, for an entire generation of disappeared Black men. He has never apologized for his record of anti-Black policy, his association of radical white supremacists or how his policies have destroyed countless Black lives.
This primary season has become extremely eye-opening. Democrats are risking national obscurity from now into the far future with candidates like these. Democrats are going to have to make a choice and the time to decide is rapidly approaching. Either they are going to provide policy specifics that empower Black voters or they will no longer be a national party. They must choose between white supremacy or Black votes. The time of playing both sides of the fence are over. If Joe Biden is the D nominee he will lose to Trump. He will never get the support he needs from Black voters to push him over the finish line. And there aren’t enough white liberals/moderates to do the job.
Joe Biden has forever disqualified himself from any other public office in my opinion. He believed in the 70s until at least 2007 the school integration was or would be a failure:
As of 2007, Biden believed that this stance had aged well. In a memoir released that year, the soon-to-be presidential candidate derided busing as “a liberal trainwreck.” Education experts disagree. Since some municipalities did integrate their schools through busing (however temporarily), while others did not, scholars have been able to evaluate the policy’s efficacy. In 2011, researchers at Berkeley found that black students who had spent five years in desegregated schools went on to earn (on average) 25 percent more than those who remained in segregated schools (or, in Biden’s phrasing, schools that honored the “black awareness concept”). Other studies have found that racial segregation impairs learning for black students so severely, it outweighs the positive effects associated with higher household income — while integration enhances educational outcomes more profoundly than increasing a school’s safety. Meanwhile, contrary to so many white parents’ fears, integration was not associated with any negative effect on white students’ educational performance.
There are only two reasonable conclusions to draw from all of this: Either Joe Biden thinks Black America is stupid enough to overlook his racist policy positions, or the Dems think that Black folks are more afraid of DT than they are. We aren’t. We’ve survived every racist to hold that office from Washington to Trump.
Put someone else up, cause he ain’t it. The Ds should prove they actually give a damn about Black votes and tell Joe to go have a seat and be an Elder statesman.

I said Uncle Joe is disqualified, for me and lots of other Black people, and predictably the liberals come from the woodworks to try and shame me about Trump. The whataboutism is in full force in these comments. I don’t care that most of the folks on this site are pressed about my opinion of Joe’s policy from the 70s til yesterday. This politician that you are all falling over has sold more of y’all up the river on everything from Iraq to civil rights and yet you are still willing to bend over backwards to support him. I am not. Most of y’all are cowards, too afraid to hear the truth: Black voters NOT over 65 don’t give a damn about Joe Biden, Kamala Harris or any other D candidate not willing to speak to us about our issues. Joe doesn’t do that, he never has and he never will.
