I am writing my first diary because I’m MAD, MAD, MAD and I will be madder yet when I see the Coronavirus check with HIS name on it. I am 71, retired and at no time in my life has he done anything to make my life better, healthier, happier, safer, or wealthier before the November 2016 election, and most certainly not since. When the check arrives, it has nothing to do with his kind, generous, benevolence, but it is because of another virus that, like him, is killing this country and the rest of world.
Add the fact that the check is coming from the IRS makes it even more maddening, especially when his history of using his wealth to avoid paying taxes at all levels, while I’ve paid taxes at all levels for more than 50 years because I am not “smart” like him to evade the taxman is taken into consideration. His name on the checks is an insult to each and every “not so smart” tax paying recipient.
I plan to cross out his name before deposit and will donate the money to various food banks in the area and to a City owned and operated power and water utility company Employees’ and Retirees’ Fund, in the process of being setup to accept monies donated from the Coronavirus checks to help people unable to pay their power or water bills.
