Tom Toles, editorial cartoonist for the Washington Post has announced via his last cartoon there that he is retiring. Starting with the University of Buffalo student newspaper 50 years ago, the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist has distilled political events into a masterful collection of less-is-more images that I have read for decades.
I had the good fortune to meet his brother years ago, a remarkable person in his own right. But as had happened to him many times over the years, he had to listen to one more of his brother’s fans gush a bit upon learning of the connection.
So let’s show our appreciation by answering his “...one request: VOTE OUT THE MANIAC. (And don’t forget the Senate.)
