It wasn’t as if we needed any more evidence that the “information” coming out about Trump’s health condition was both duplicitous and shoddy.
Take, for example, Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows, whose on-and-off the record statements were thus summarized by Politico:
Meadows went on the record with Reuters to contradict what he told other reporters on the condition of anonymity earlier in the day—comments that contradicted what the president’s own doctor had broadcasted to the public after 18 hours without official word on the president’s medical condition.
Or Trump’s physician Dr. Sean Conley having to walk back comments about Trump’s COVID treatment timeline in a misspelling-plagued memo issued just hours after the press conference:
per CNN, ”Trump's doctor walks backs comments on timing of President's Covid-19 diagnosis and treatment.”
Somehow, though, this Trump-tweeted video somehow takes it to a different level altogether.
The video is a rambling four-plus minutes that’s supposed to re-assure his followers that he’s doing fine and that he’s triumphed over the COVID.
But look at what happens just at the 1:05 mark after he says the word “therapeutics.” He grimaces, hitches his shoulders, coughs… except the video skips on with no audio evidence of what obviously happened. In other words, they tried to edit out the cough, and botched the attempt!
Chris Evans was one of the early Twitter-denizens to point it out…
They are bungling this up so badly. It’s what they do.
The only remedy for an administration like this is to vote ‘em out.
I’ve already banked my absentee vote for Biden/Harris, blue up and down the ballot… have you?
