I’m sorry that we as a nation had to do this to you… AGAIN. I’m sorry for your stress, I’m sorry for your anger, I am sorry for what we were, what we are and what we will still become.
I’m sorry I was not strong enough to keep you sane, I’m sorry I could not keep you safe.
I understand that for your own well being you have to go, that you want to go, that you will go.
But I will not walk away with you. I’m sorry, I am staying. I’m not strong enough to save you, and I am not strong enough to leave.
