The most popular book is likely the Bible. Most Christians pray to God before sleep, and the Bible is often a part of that process.
The current squatter on the Golden Throne in the White House claims to be both a genius and a moral ‘man’. He has claimed on multiple occasions that he doesn’t have to ask God for forgiveness, the implication being that he hasn’t sinned. This in spite of the fact that he has made over 16,000 provably false and/or misleading claims and statements since being elected.
This self-proclaimed ‘paragon of virtue’ would certainly turn to the Bible for spiritual guidance as he advances his efforts on behalf of God’s Will and humanity. Perhaps he drifts off to sleep with the words of the Book of Proverbs on his mind, or the Ten Commandments. Maybe just little snippets of verses such as “...suffer not the little children...”
You may already know the truth behind my sarcasm. Here are just a few of the all-time favorite quotes from Trump’s bedside table inspirational book during his marriage to Ivana.
1. If you want the sympathy of the broad masses, you must tell them the crudest and most stupid things.
2. Tell a lie loud enough and long enough and people will believe it.
3. The greater the crime perpetrated by the leadership, the less likely that the people will ever believe their leaders to be capable of perpetrating such an event.
4. What luck for governments, that people are so stupid!
5. It is quite a special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them.
6. What good fortune for those in power that people do not think!
7. Terrorism is the best political weapon, for nothing drives people harder than the fear of sudden death.
8. It is not truth that matters, but victory.
9. If you tell a big enough lie, and tell it frequently, it will be believed.
10. A woman must be a cute, naïve, cuddly thing, - tender, sweet, and stupid.
11. By the means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell, — and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.
12. The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but the power of their forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.
These are only a few of the words lurking in Trump’s bedside copy of Adolf Hitler’s speeches...the man responsible for the death of 70 to 85 million men, women, and children...Trump's Inspiration. Perhaps he even returned home to his pregnant wife after an adulterous tryst with Stormy Daniels to sate his other lust with the words of his idol.
If you have the stomach for it, observe some of his rally speeches and interviews...it is obvious that Hitler’s protégé learned his lessons well.
