I’ll be brief.
The key provision of the bill passed late last night by the Senate isn't the $1200 checks we're all going to receive. That's good, but it's not enough (Canada, for example is paying $2,000 a month for the next 4 months). It's not even the focus of the bill. If I may quote:
"The key provision of the bailout bill is a $454 billion program overseen by Mnuchin that can be leveraged 10 times over by the Federal Reserve to do essentially anything Mnuchin and the Fed want to do with it. "
It can be leveraged ten times. It's not a $454 Billion bailout. It's a $4.54 TRILLION Bailout.
That's more money than the entire budget last year, which was the largest in history. Every program, combined. Military, Social Security, Medicare, PBS, ALL OF IT.
Let me repeat this. This bailout for corporations is LARGER THAN THE ENTIRE FEDERAL BUDGET. Tell your friends.
Anyone who says that Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility deserves a punch in the snoot. It's a fucking lie.
They're thieves. Fucking Thieves. This is the greatest crime ever committed, and it's all legal.

I’m glad you all are discussing it. When I read it in the bill I thought the language was vague on this point. I think it can be interpreted a number of way.
My goal was to have you discuss it. I’d be very happy to be wrong. Prove me wrong.
Please.
The problem is that I know these people. I could also be right.
