Welcome to the Street Prophets Coffee Hour cleverly hidden at the intersection of religion and politics. This is an open thread where we can share our thoughts and comments about the day. We’re going to start today by looking at a museum display of a doctor’s office.
One of the displays in the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center in Wenatchee, Washington, features a display of a doctor’s office.
Today’s Doctor’s Office
On Monday I had to go to the doctor (regularly scheduled thing, nothing particularly urgent). I put on my mask (N95, not one of the colorful cloth ones) and entered the building. There was a check point just inside the entrance with a nurse sitting at a desk behind of plexiglass screen. She asked me a bunch of questions and took my temperature. I was then given a “pass” to enter the building. Staff and patients in the clinic were wearing masks. A very different world from just six months ago.
