Mail in voting works. I love that I get a ballot, have time to review the items on the ballot, do research if necessary, fill it out and drop it in the mailbox (postage paid in Washington). Then after sending, I can check my ballot status online to ensure that it has been received, verified and counted. Easy peasy.
As with so many things these days, I don’t understand why this is controversial. Problem with the signature? They call you so you can fix it. Not sure what happens if the ballot hasn’t been received because it has never happened to me in the years we have been doing vote by mail. But at least I would know to be able to do something about it if needed.
Can’t wait for the general election ballot to arrive. That will be such a joy to be voting for Joe and against the orange menace. No worries about long lines. No worries about delayed mail (because I can check my status online).
It simply works.
