Early last year I promised one of the peeps that come September, the Monday Melodie would be one of their favourite songs: “Autumn leaves” played by Roger Williams. Unfortunately I had to take a long break for health reasons but I didn’t forget the promise I made… it’s just a year late!
The Moondai Furkids team is looking forward to the Autumn Equinox tomorrow because they’ve had quite enough of Summer. They like the idea of cozying up on warm laps and in warm beds, sleeping in and watching the weather outside from the warm and dry inside.
This week Autumn is ushered in by the glorious magic fingers of Roger Williams. Although this is entirely an instrumental recording of the song, the melody — played at first by the orchestra then later taken up by the piano — is easy to follow.
