The objective of the PA Dems Voter Assistance Hotline is to resolve queries and concerns. Basically they estimate what those queries and concerns are likely to be then train their volunteers to provide factual information to resolve them.
But of course it isn’t always as straight forward as that. Sometimes a caller is going to have a concern that isn’t on the list. In this sense, as voter problems come to them unprompted, they are in an ideal position to gather valuable insight into the kind of information that is most needed.
Julianne Helinek, a volunteer on the PA Dems Voter Assistance Hotline realised very early on that there was a widespread notion that the state of Pennsylvania doesn’t offer the option of early in-person voting. This is incorrect and because of her concern over this common misconception, Julianne took to social media to combat it with facts.
I saw her thread on Twitter and instantly retweeted it. But the issue Julianne is addressing too important to leave it at one retweet which is when I decided to further boost her message here at Daily Kos.
Thank you, Julianne Helinek, and thank you to all those like Julianne who are making a difference every way you can.
