I would like to take this opportunity to post Professor Richard Wolff’s latest post and highlight the “frustration” many Progressives in the USA feel With everything going on, this may have been missed; There were recent elections in Germany resulted in a Center Right Coalition being replaced by a Center Left Coalition. Professor Wolff gives some data highlighting the differences in life expectancy, and various benefits German citizens (and non citizens in some cases) receive vs Americans : I could post Infant Mortality, Life Expectancy, Paid Sick Leave and Paid Vacation: Do I have to ? But what I am desperately trying to say The so called “Radical Agenda” is the norm in most developed countries. Universal Health Care, Affordable College (no its not Free that's a right wing myth) worker protection are the norm , not a struggle Now, getting back to Germany Angela Merkel was in power for over 10 years. In that time, did the German Conservatives, establish tax cuts on the wealthy, attempt to weaken the power of Unions, cut back on retirement benefits? No Angela Merkel is closer to Bernie Sanders than any other politician in the USA. Just the term “Radical Agenda” offends me and many progressives I hope it offends you I hope you all appreciate the frustration many Progressives feel My biggest issues are with the media; That is why many prefer TYT, Democracy Now with Amy Goodman, Sam Seder , Thom Hartmann over CNN and even “Liberal” MSNBC. The alternative networks highlight the differences between the USA and the rest of the developed world BTW If “Socialism robs the middle class of wealth and opportunity” Why does Socialist Norway have 83% home ownership and Capitalist USA 63% Home Ownership ? Somebody please explain that . Thank you
