So, when William Gibson recommends a book, I pay attention. And when it is remaindered on Amazon for 3 bucks (it was published in 2019) in my email, I check it out. When I see no mention of it here, I, after reading a few pages, think it really ought to be at least acknowledged, if only for the usual voices here to scoff at for being overly “alarmist”, if not actual forbidden doomspeech.
In fact, if you are looking for encouragement for believing it will all be “OK” if everyone would just chill out and go buy something with a green label, and forgo that hamburger, you should just move on and not trouble yourself further. Cherished myths may be shattered if you dare to enter herein.

The interviewer is a disastrous bore, but fortunately the author endures him and keeps going.
But by all means, do move on and don’t let this harsh your Xmas mellow if it’s too depressing.
