I’m not sure where the time has gone, but here I am on my 75th birthday feeling great and enjoying life in Florida! I’m sharing this piece from August of last year to remind myself how kind the years have been and how I continue to grow and bloom. I’m so grateful.

Me Now
That black hole in space has nothing on me.
I’m as deep and mysterious as it.
That mountain rising from the earth has nothing on me.
I’m as determined and steadfast as it.
That star falling down has nothing on me.
I’m as bright and as vivid as it.
I am also...
A mother who watches with pride as her children and grandchildren succeed.
A woman grateful for love beyond reason and joy without equal.
A mother grieving a lost daughter.
A seeker pursuing peace of mind and spirit.
Still blooming.
Me Then
That black hole in space has nothing on me.
I’m as deep and as empty as it.
That mountain rising from the earth has nothing on me.
I’m as stalwart and silent as it.
That star falling down has nothing on me.
I’ve lost all the brightness I had.
I am also…
That wife with a bruised face.
That mother with a broken heart.
That young woman with lost potential.
Still growing.
