This just happened, and I’m posting because I didn’t see it on the recent diaries list:
The Supreme Court declined to hear a so-called “fetal personhood” case from Rhode Island, where a Catholic church and two pregnant women attempted to establish that embryos/fetuses/fertilized eggs are persons under the law from the moment of conception.
Given the makeup of the current Court, this is huge.
