Here is
Jeremy's/CT's house:
That first room was Jeremy's office, where he's often working at midnight (we actually get a lot of work done at that time, without the pressures of life and news cycles intruding). The second was his 2 1/2 year-old daughter's. Her crib was crushed between the truck and the back wall.
The genius who drove the truck has a MySpace site. His Instant Message username?

Thanks a million for the outpouring of support to help get Jeremy and his family back on track. Over 700 have contributed. And with those kinds of numbers, even the $5 contributions mean a world of difference.
And Gina Cooper, more can and will be said about her.
When she first approached me with the idea, I thought she was nuts. I asked two things of her when I agreed to lend the "kos" name to the event -- 1) don't embarass me, and 2) don't be afraid to think small. Well, she batted .500, but she sure as heck picked the right piece of advice to follow.
No one has any idea how tough this was. No one took Gina seriously. No one wanted to provide the seed funding necessary to make the event happen. There were a few early believers in the big money community (mostly the Rappaports -- political donors who have funded great organizations like Music For America), and all the usual suspects shut door after door in her face.
Yet she persisted against all odds, doing fundraiser after fundraiser on this site, staging auctions, doing incredible amounts of work to squeeze out a few bucks here and a few bucks there. We funded this thing. We made it happen. But only because Gina and her incredible band of volunteers stayed in our faces about it.
She beat the odds to put this thing together. Now the whole progressive world knows she's a superstar. But it was lonely being her for most of last year -- toiling away, unpaid, unappreciated by most, and working to execute her vision for what became YearlyKos.
She never expected to be compensated for her work, but as a community, we can't let such dedication and accomplishment be ignored and unrewarded. Like Jeremy, hundreds have already contributed to thank Gina for her work. Even $5 adds up, so please help.
