CNN did a report this morning regarding the TSA using dirty political tricks to put American citizens on the terrorist watch list. Jim Moore, an author who wrote several books that were critical of George W. Bush, including Bush's Brain, was put on the terrorist watch list after Bush's re-election in 2004. Coincidentally, Moore wrote a book the year before the election questioning Bush's service in the National Guard, which helped lead to the speculation during the 2004 election about Bush's National Guard service. Right after Chimpy won re-election, Moore went to the airport to try to fly, and he was told he was on the No-Fly terrorist watch list.
This could be listed as an honest mistake except I saw a report several months ago in which a CNN reporter named Drew Griffin was put on the No-Fly List a couple of months after he did a critical report of the TSA.
When both of these guys went to TSA to try to get taken off the terrorist watch list, they were put through a bunch of crap and neither was has been removed. Now, TSA is blaming the airlines for these guys being on the No-Fly list. Of course the airlines are crying foul and rightfully blaming the TSA for this mess.
I think this is one of the most outrageous things I have ever heard. I fly almost every other week for my job, and it is a complete headache to go through all the security hoops at the airport. I couldn't imagine having to go through the unbelievable hassle of trying to prove you are not a terrorist every time you had to fly.
Once again the Bush administration is trampling on the Constitution and politicizing every aspect of American life. I am so sick of Bush it makes me want to throw up (I am not using a phrase by saying this; after watching that news story, my stomach is upset). I am counting down the days until that idiot is out of the White House.
